Waste Management Programmes

CRMC conducting periodical cleaning programmes with the help of local community, school students, Volunteers and stakeholders to remove the waste materials dumped/ floating in the water body and Mangrove Forests and Bird Sanctuary.

Eco-development activities

The focus of Community Reserve Management is on conservation of the existing mangrove eco-system, sustainable and wise use of the wet land, socio-economic development / upliftment of the local community and protection of the Community Reserve. While the protection of existing mangroves and associated flora and fauna ensured through protection and habitat and species management plan socio-economic uplift of the local community is to be ensured through sustainable collection of natural resources in the natural resources of the Community Reserve and Kadalundi River depended upon by the local community as their livelihood.

Social Activities

CRMC takes steps to improve the upliftment of the stakeholders of Community Reserve by providing self-employment trainings, conducting medical camps with the help of Health Department. Also conducting awareness camps to public, NGOs and students of schools and colleges and providing basic facilities to tourists and conducting periodical training to Eco-tourism Guides of KVCR and nearby eco-tourism centers.
